A 'loving' woman collapsed suddenly and died two days after taking cocaine on a night out, an inquest has found. Lindsey Jayne Strickland, 41, took ill after taking the drug with friends on the night of January 26 and into the early hours of January 27 this year.
The court heard she had been vomiting, and at around 1am on January 29 was seen getting a glass of water before suddenly dropping the glass and collapsing at her Little Hulton home.
Emergency services were called, but she sadly died in hospital. A pathologist said 'on the balance of probabilities' it was the cocaine toxicity in her system that most likely caused her death.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, her stepfather Robert Sixsmith described her as a 'loving' woman and her death as a 'tragedy'.
