Love Island star Maura Higgins was reportedly left shaken after three masked men attempted to raid her house on Wednesday. The reality star is said to be upping security after the incident, which saw three men in masks shaking and ramming her metal gates until they managed to rip them down, before entering her property and attempting to steal a number of vehicles.

Police were called to the incident, which was captured by her neighbours’ CCTV cameras, and Maura has been said to be left feeling unsafe at home following the attempted robbery.

A source close to Maura told The Sun: “Maura was shaken up. Neighbours caught it all on CCTV and it was chilling to see three masked men ram through the gates and start trying to break into cars.” The source added that Maura now felt unsafe being in the gated community, where she has lived for the last three years.

OK! has reached out to Maura’s representatives for comment. Several other high-profile celebrities are also residents of the gated community, which is in a popular area of Essex where Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan have been renovating their new home.
