Three days into this year’s series of Love Island, fans of the show have dubbed it 'London Island'. Noticing that the bulk of the summer 2023 stars so far seemed to hail from London and the surrounding areas, many fans couldn’t resist calling out the show as they asked “Where are the farmers?” The main argument stemmed from the fact that there were plenty of London accents on offer this year, but a distinct lack of regional flair from the majority of the Islanders.
Although we know so far there are contestants hailing from outside the capital, many fans had been hoping for a more varied set of accents among the lovelorn hopefuls.
Taking to Twitter to vent their frustrations, many fans didn’t hold back as they called out the show for not showing places such as Liverpool, Newcastle and even the West Country more love. “This love island is too London rn, where the Essex guys, farmers ?
