Love Island star Luca Bish's family have issued an apology to fans for how he treated Gemma Owen after they had an explosive argument on Sunday night's episode (July 17th).

Luca lost his rag with Gemma after seeing footage of her 'flirting' with Billy Brown. His tantrum was met with a fierce backlash by viewers on Twitter after the episode aired who called on Gemma to dump Luca. Twitter uses later accused him of displaying "a lot of red flags".But his family apologised on his Instagram Stories for his "insensitive behaviour" and told him how when he watches it back he will be "deeply embarrassed".The account, which is run by his sister warned that he is in an "intense environment where his emotions are heightened".The post added the family have been receiving horrible death threats and have been forced to turn the comments off on his social media.In the post, Luca's sister said: "I want to apologise on behalf of Luca for his insensitive reaction on last night's episode.

I know that when he watches it back, he will be embarrassed and deeply apologetic."We as his family don't condone his behaviour last night, but we do understand he is in an intense environment where his actions are heightened.
