‘Love Is Blind’ Set for Italian Adaptation at Netflix
variety.comNick Vivarelli International Correspondent Netflix is launching a local adaptation of “Love Is Blind” in Italy following recent European redos of the hit reality dating show in the U.K.
and Sweden. “Love Is Blind Italy,” which is being produced for Netflix by Banijay Italia, “has begun casting and is now open for Italian residents,” said a Netflix statement that did not reveal when the streaming giant plans to air the show’s Italian iteration.
Since premiering in 2020 in the U.S., “Love Is Blind” has risen to become one of Nielsen’s top 10 most-streamed title 23 times across six seasons stateside while also gaining status as a global phenomenon.
The original U.S. “Love Is Blind” series has so far spawned local adaptations in Japan, Brazil, Sweden, the U.K., Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Argentina, the UAE and now Italy.
