However, it wasn't long before the chat turned to the reported rift between Kate and Meghan after the Princess of Wales pledged to share her plum jam recipe with young gardeners during a visit to Meadow Street Community Garden on Wednesday.
This comes after Meghan's recent venture into the preserve market, where she has been distributing homemade jam under her American Riviera Orchard brand - now renamed As Ever.
