Loose Women wasn't short of drama when Ruth Langsford made a triumphant return to the show, and she had plenty to say about the recent Strictly Come Dancing controversy.

Those who religiously follow the sparkle-filled programme will know that accusations of "bullying" and abuse are currently hovering over the BBC show like a gloomy cloud, all initially sparked by Amanda Abbington's bombshell claims. The actress claimed that she was dealt with in an "unnecessarily cruel" manner by her then dance partner Giovanni Pernice, allegations which the Italian dance pro has adamantly dismissed.

Back in 2017, after continuous nudges, Ruth finally bowed down and made an appearance on the ballroom platform, sweeping through dances with Anton Du Beke - who she heralded as the best partner she could have possibly asked for.

Being a former participant herself, Ruth took the chance to spill about her own journey - which wasn't devoid of an emotional rollercoaster ride, reports the Manchester Evening News.
