Loose Women's Denise Welch hits back at criticism over 'expensive' ITV stint

Loose Women star Denise Welch has hit back at a critical viewer who slammed her 'expensive' segment on the ITV show.During an episode this week, people got to see the 64-year-old in sunny LA as she gave an insight into some plush Hollywood homesHowever, it seems that some were left less than impressed as they demanded to know "who footed the bill" for the luxury stint.The Geordie actress, who is a regular panellist on the ITV show, recently spent some time in the States to visit her godparents.Whilst she was there, Denise also got to enjoy an impromptu reunion with actor Reece Noi, who played one of her troubled students called Earl Kelly in the BBC show Waterloo Road.During her trip, the actress also got to meet The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards' daughters Farrah and Alexia.Although it was all fun and games for the star, she was also in the States to do a job for Loose Women which was revealed this week.A segment on the show sees the panellists take on jobs that they would be doing if they weren't on the ITV show.We've seen Ruth Langford as an air stewardess, Linda Robson became a cleaner in a hotel and Jane Moore join the West End cast of Mamma Mia.It was recently Denise's turn to fulfil her "dream job" as viewers got to see her become a real estate agent in LA.However, one Twitter user – whose username featured the word "sunshine" – was far from impressed, writing: "Can I ask who footed the bill to fly Denise to LA to walk around posh gaffs chatting tripe?"What a waste of money and as for this is what they would do if they weren’t on Loose Women, well correct me if I’m wrong but Ruth and Jane are journalists, Linda and Denise are actresses."The reaction didn't go unnoticed by Denise who hit back.
