Loose Women star Charlene White told her followers that their discomfort was “not her concern” when it came to talking about race.The presenter clashed with her co-star Janet Street-Porter after the pair discussed reports of racism faced by some refugees at the Ukrainian borders.Charlene, 41, took to Twitter this evening to address accusations of “playing the race card” in view of her 59,600 followers.She wrote: “For those throwing the phrase, "playing the race card" at me today re @loosewomen... “Let me be VERY clear.

You feeling uncomfortable hearing someone talking about race is not my concern, when the concern ought to be directed towards the victims who are subjected to it.”The comments aimed at Charlene after today’s episode of Loose Women stemmed from when the presenter raised her concerns about those facing discrimination while fleeing Ukraine due to the colour of their skin.Things got heated on the ITV panel show today as Charlene and Janet butted heads over the issue.Opening up the debate, which also included Coleen Nolan and Katie Piper, Charlene began: “In the midst of all of this, the midst of people trying to flee from their homes, the midst of them trying to dodge bullets and bombs, they still have time for racism.“Because you’ve got thousands of Black, Asian, Syrian, Arab students and workers, who have also been trying to get out of Ukraine.“They have been prevented from doing so due to the racism that they have experienced.They’ve not been allowed to go through the border into Poland for example, where they’ve been pushed back.”Charlene added: “It really does shine a light on the fact that it doesn’t matter how devastated someone is, how scared somebody is, it seems like there’s always time for one of.
