Carol McGiffin has opened up about her body confidence and living with just one breast after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

The Loose Women, 63, panelist has been speaking as part of the ITV Daytime shows award winning Body Stories having had one breast removed while battling the disease.The campaign is designed to celebrate body diversity and highlight the importance of representation.

It comes after 75 percent of viewers admit they avoid looking in the mirror because of how it makes them feel about their body.Some of the UK’s most recognisable female faces and Loose Women panelists including Carol, Dame Kelly Holmes, Gloria Hunniford OBE, Judi Love, Katie Piper OBE and Sophie Morgan will take part in an inspiring Body Stories photo shoot for the first time, as well as candidly share their own body stories. And it's quite good to know that my body is still going. She added: "And it's not too bad, even at this age and only one boob."You know it's not ideal, but it's alright because I'm here, I'm alive and telling my story." Carol was recently snapped showing off her incredible figure while enjoying her wedding anniversary with her husband Mark Cassidy in Thailand.On Friday, Carol showed off a slightly different look on the show as she went make-up free after she woke up with her face "like a tomato".
