Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.

He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.

Loose Women presenters Brenda Edwards and Judi Love attended a reception at Buckingham Palace on Thursday 9 June, to celebrate the Commonwealth Diaspora.The event, which celebrates and recognises the important contribution that the Commonwealth diaspora provides the United Kingdom, welcomed hundreds of guests to the palace, from celebrities to key figures representing the arts, education, the NHS, and the charity sector.

At the event, Brenda was pictured speaking to Prince Charles, shaking his hand as the Prince smiled.The presenters were also pictured in their outfits as they entered the reception.

Brenda wore a royal blue jumpsuit paired with a slightly lighter blue jacket - she accessorised the look with some black shoes and two pendant necklaces, as well as some orange nail polish.The presenter could also be spotted wearing a blue bracelet bearing the name of her son, Jamal Edwards, who died earlier this year due to a heart attack after taking recreational drugs.
