The Loose Women set descended into hilarity on Thursday's ITV daytime show (July 4) when Miriam Margolyes let slip a swear word live on air.

The beloved actress, aged 83, was discussing her newly penned memoir, 'Oh Miriam', with host Kaye Adams and fellow panelists Denise Welch, Olivia Attwood-Dack, and Nadia Sawalha.

When prompted about her reason for penning a book at this stage of her career, the frank Margolyes had the panel laughing by quipping: "Because they paid me".

Curious, Kaye prodded further: "Can they pay you to do anything, Miriam? " That's when the star replied with a comment that earned an immediate beep, sparking a fresh wave of laughter and leaving Denise visibly stunned and Kaye shaking her head in disbelief.
