Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has admitted it is unlikely the club will delve into the transfer market for a central defender this month.
Injuries to Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip have left the champions threadbare at the back, with Jordan Henderson starting alongside Fabinho in their last Premier League fixture.
Defeat at Southampton made it three without a win for the Reds, as Klopp has seen his side’s lead at the top of the Premier League dwindle away.
But Klopp has claimed that the club “cannot sort it now in the transfer market” and will instead look to find solutions from within his squad.
