Liverpool have been put off pursuing a January move for Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar due to his hefty price tag. The Reds may look to recruit another centre-half next month once the transfer window opens.
Jurgen Klopp has seen his resources tested to the max with Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez both set for lengthy lay offs. It has forced the German into playing makeshift centre-halves or turning to young players.
Skriniar is highly thought of and has been linked with several Premier League clubs. But Inter's £54m valuation looks to be more than Liverpool want to pay, reports CalcioMercato.
The Reds have conducted their transfer business well in recent years with Michael Edwards working impressively alongside Klopp.
