Liverpool power cut leaves homes across city without electricity

A power cut has left homes across an area of Liverpool without electricity tonight (Wednesday, January 8). Homes are affected in the L4 postcode area of the city.

The Liverpool Echo reports this includes areas of Walton, including Goodison Road, Church Road West, Walton Village and St Mary's Lane.

The power outage was first reported at around 7pm - with supplies set to be restored to all properties by 10.35pm. A Scottish Power spokesperson said: "There is a power cut in the L4 postcode area of Liverpool.

Restoration is taking longer than expected due to a fault on the high voltage network and we now expect your supply to be restored by 08/01/2025, 22:35.
