Liverpool should offer Virgil van Dijk a new seven year contract to tie him down to the club for the remainder of his career.
That is the view of former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson, who reckons the Reds should keep the Dutchman at Anfield for as long as possible.
Van Dijk is considered by many to be the best defender in the world since he made a £75m move from Southampton in January 2018.
He has since helped the club to Champions League glory and the brink of a maiden Premier League title and he narrowly missed out to Lionel Messi in the Ballon d’Or voting last year.
