Little Aleana joins Lanarkshire family's female generation game in time for Christmas

A tight-knit family from North Lanarkshire had an extra special Christmas after recently welcoming the latest generation of girls into the fold.Little Aleana Hogan was born in November making her the fifth generation of females in her family.Aleana’s great great-gran Lily Robertson, 86, who was a school crossing patrol attendant at Netherton Primary, heads up the women in the family.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

She retired around 10 years ago.Her daughter, Aleana’s great-gran Tina Milligan, 66, is next in the chronological order of family hierarchy.

Tina is also well-known to many older children and, indeed, a lot of adults in Wishaw, as she was the headteacher at Castlehill Primary up until it closed.Tina’s daughter Jennifer McLelland, 46, was an only child.
