Motherwell Diocese announce death of much loved Lanarkshire parish priest

Motherwell Diocese has announced the death of a much loved Lanarkshire parish priest. Canon Joseph Clements served communities in Wishaw, Carfin, East Kilbride and Motherwell over his many decades of service.

In a statement on social media, Motherwell Diocese said: “Fr Clements was ordained on April 29 1962 in the College Chapel at Valladolid by Bishop Black of Paisley and served as Assistant Priest of St Francis Xavier’s in Carfin, St Aidan’s in Wishaw, St Bride’s in East Kilbride and Motherwell Cathedral.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
