Linda Cardellini to Lead 'Friday the 13th' Prequel Series 'Crystal Lake' at Peacock

Linda Cardellini has booked her next leading TV role! On Monday (March 24), it was announced that the 49-year-old Dead to Me actress has been cast to star in Peacock’s upcoming Friday the 13th prequel series titled Crystal Lake.

In the new series, which was first announced back in 2022, Linda will be playing Pamela Voorhees, the mother of Jason Vorhees. Keep reading to find out more…As fans of the horror movie franchise will recall, Jason Vorhees was the hockey mask-wearing killer.

In the original movie, which was released back in 1980, Jason is a child who drowns at Camp Crystal Lake and his mom seeks revenge on the counselors she blames for her son’s death.

Pamela is played by Betsy Palmer in the original movie and the role has also been played Marilyn Poucher, Paula Shaw, and Nana Visitor in various sequels, crossover, and reboot movies.
