Library fundraiser reaches halfway mark in £50k funding effort

Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter.A £50,000 fundraising target to help secure a new village library for Strathblane and Blanefield is almost half way there just weeks after launching.Within three weeks of starting up, the crowdfunding appeal for the Thomas Graham community library has received 87 donations totalling £23,480.The sums contributed range from £10 to £100, and from £1000 to £5,000.Strathblane Community Development Trust is working to raise at least £50,000 to add to the £600,000 already received thanks to principal donor Angus Graham and another fund.The trust said this week they were “deeply grateful” to everyone who had dug deep to help put the new village asset well on.
