He suffered multiple injuries leading to an "internal and external haemorrhage". It has been suggested that an employee at the upscale CasaSur Palermo Hotel, where Liam was staying, provided him with narcotics concealed inside a Dove soap packet.
According to a toxicology report, Liam had antidepressants and cocaine in his system when he died – despite having been drug-free just days earlier.
Now, newly released footage appears to capture the former One Direction member heading to the hotel's basement in a lift to meet the staff member.
