Nicole Scherzinger was texting Liam Payne on the day he died. The singer was one of the judges on The X Factor who helped put One Direction together in 2010 and was speaking to the 31-year-old on the day he tragically fell to his death in Argentina.

He tragically died last week after falling from a third-floor balcony of the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires. The singer died of multiple traumas and 'internal and external haemorrhage'.

Investigations into his death in the Argentine capital are continuing to progress with it reported the investigation is looking into those on duty on the day and in the days leading up to the tragedy.
