Danielle Peazer, who dated One Direction star Liam Payne between 2010 and 2014, has shared a heartfelt poem about grief as part of a post she described as “Reflecting on moments in October.” While the photos included a holiday trip, and photos of her daughter Mia with her new partner Sonny, the final picture she included was of a poem from a book of healing words called Wild Hope by author Donna Ashworth.

The poem is called Love Came First and begins with the words: “You don’t move on after loss, but you must move with .” It continues: “You must shake hands with grief, welcome her in, for she lives with you now.

Pull her a chair at the table and offer her comfort. She is not the monster you first thought her to be. She is love. And she will walk with you now, stay with you now, peacefully.

If you let her. And on the days when your anger is high, remember why she came, remember who she represents. Remember. Grief came to you, my friend, because love came first.
