Lewis Moore isn’t just battling to keep Hearts in the Ladbrokes Premiership for himself, the club and the fans – he’s doing it for his late dad.
The young winger has forced his way into Daniel Stendel ’s starting XI since returning from an ill-fated loan at Falkirk , and he’s done it while having to cope with the devastating loss of his father Michael.
This past week has brought it home how much he would have loved to still have his old man cheering him on from the stands. Moore has been a big influence in two huge Hearts victories, twice assisting Oliver Bozanic for goals: the Scottish Cup quarter-final winner against Rangers and the Aussie’s stunning second in the 3-1 derby victory at Easter Road.
