Aberdeen by handing in a transfer request after having a £1.2m move to newly promoted English Premier League Watford rejected by the Dons.
The Scotland Under-21 midfielder is desperate to play in the English top flight and wants to push the move through. Aberdeen are believed to have indicated they are willing to allow Ferguson, who has three years left on his contract, to leave - but not at the price Watford have offered.
The Pittodrie outfit haven't named a price at which they'll sell but Aberdeen legend Willie Miller reckons the bidding should start at £4m.
