A member of the Democratic Party, Biden is the presumptive Democratic nominee for president in the 2020 election. He unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and in 2008.

deadline.comLenny Kravitz is scheduled to perform on Friday when President Joe Biden headlines his first reelection fundraiser in Los Angeles, according to the invite.
The event is hosted by designer Michael Smith and James Costos, the former U.S. ambassador to Spain, with a list of co-hosts that include Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw, Martha Karsh and Wendy Schmidt.
First Lady Jill Biden and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi also are scheduled to appear. This will be the president’s first trek to Los Angeles for a fundraising swing since announcing reelection in April.
He skipped Los Angeles during the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike, out of concern over raising money at the time of the work stoppage.
