Leeds players accept wage cuts amid uncertainty surrounding coronavirus pandemic

Marcelo Bielsa and his Leeds players and staff have volunteered to take a wage deferral to ensure no-one at Elland Road is laid off because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The EFL is on hold until April 30 at the earliest and the Championship leaders are feeling the loss of their broadcasting and match day revenue.

The club are determined not to make anyone redundant during this unprecedented crisis and Bielsa, his staff, the players and senior management team have offered to defer part of their salaries for the foreseeable future.
