Laura Whitmore "wasn't having a good time" by the end of this summer's Love Island and is excited to be starting a new chapter, a source has told OK!.

The 37-year-old stepped in to host the much-loved dating programme and its spin-off series Love Island Aftersun back in 2020, taking over from Caroline Flack.

But on Monday night, Laura announced her decision to leave the ITV2 show, citing "certain elements of the show I’ve found very difficult that cannot be changed".
