The downward trend has continued in Bolton, whose rate continues to fall after a peak driven by the Indian variant, now also referred to as the Delta variant.
However case numbers continue to rise all in all other boroughs. Tameside, Stockport and Salford have all seen big increases.
As has Bury, Its rate has rise by more than 100 percent week-on-week and is now the third-highest in the region. Whilst cases continue to rise in Manchester which now has the eighth highest rate in the country.
