Viewers of last night’s Late Late Show have hailed Christy Dignam a ‘national treasure’ after the Aslan Frontman sat down for a chat with host Ryan Tubridy.
Christy, who was diagnosed with a form of incurable cancer known as amyloidosis in 2013, told Ryan that he didn’t want his illness to be the focal point of his interview and instead wanted the focus to on his new legacy album, The Man Who Stayed Alive.

The Finglas native also treated fans to a rendition of Down By The Sally Gardens which was met with a spectacular round of applause from the studio audience.
