A lap dancing club in Altrincham which has been the source of residents’ complaints over fighting, shouting and people urinating outside looks set to close after operating for 17 years.
The owner of the town centre building which is home to Totties on George Street has submitted a planning application to redevelop the site which includes the ‘cessation’ of lap dancing on the first floor of the building and the creation of eight self-contained apartments.
The ground floor is currently occupied by The Works and Pita Box. In plans submitted on behalf of applicant Charlotte Street Estates Ltd, they say that current ground floor commercial use will be retained and there will be apartments on the first floor which will be extended and recladded.
Agent County Planning said in its proposal: “Several residential developments have come forward over recent years, and the area is undergoing a resurgence of investment and renewal of older building stock.
