Lanarkshire radio station marks first anniversary and celebrates new studio set-up

A radio station broadcasting across Lanarkshire is celebrating its first anniversary by settling into new studios and expanding its schedule of shows.Shire Radio was established by Alec Nicol, Bill Kilgour and Arthur Grainger and combines music with local information ranging from what’s on listings to football chat, with listeners able to tune in online through its website or through smart speaker and radio apps.Now the volunteer team have a new base in a state-of-the-art studio at Coatbank business centre in Coatbridge, and are aiming to “create a vibrant online community where Lanarkshire residents can connect, learn, and be entertained”.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
