Lanarkshire mum to star on ITV's 'Love Island spin-off' for parents

A Scottish mum is set to appear on a new ITV dating show that has been billed as a 'spin-off' to Love Island for middle-aged parents to have the opportunity to find love once again, with the series kicking off next week on Monday, September 11.

The reality show, previously called The Romance Retreat, will follow a group of 'middle-aged singletons' hoping to find their match who have already failed to find their forever partner after having children - it has been renamed as 'My Mum, Your Dad'.Television favourite Davina McCall will host the new programme which will take place over 10 days, a much shorter time than your usual Love Island, which has similarities.

and what is her story?Caroline, 51, from South Lanarkshire, currently works as a tech assistant at a private baby clinic and describes herself as 'charismatic, outgoing and fun' hoping to meet someone genuine who has good morals behind them, reports Glasgow Live.The fun mum to 20-year-old daughter Karli adds that she "likes people that smile a lot" although admits she can be a fiery character herself at times.Daughter Karli works as a flight attendant, and Caroline was reportedly put forward to take part in the show because "I’ve been single for such a long time, it’s probably the longest I’ve ever been single."She added: "I’ve always been quite happy being single but I think she thought, ‘Mum, you need to get out there.’" Get the latest celebrity gossip and telly news sent straight to your inbox.
