Lanarkshire mum takes brain tumour awareness campaign to Holyrood

A Lanarkshire mum who lost her four-year-old son to a brain tumour took her campaign for research and funding to the Scottish Parliament to mark the current awareness month.Nadia Majid met with 40 MSPs who joined in with the annual fundraising “wear a hat” day run by Brain Tumour Research, and told them about little Rayhan – who passed away in April 2018 only four months after being diagnosed with a grade three medulloblastoma.The Airdrie resident met three of Holyrood’s party leaders as well as neighbouring constituency representative Fulton MacGregor; and thanked the MSPs for their support while saying: “I hope they now understand how much more attention brain tumours need.”The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
