Lanarkshire MSP encourages residents to seek support for energy costs

An MSP is encouraging people across Rutherglen and Cambuslang to check to see if they are entitled to additional support due to the increasing cost of living and the rising household energy costs.It comes after Ofgem has announced a significant increase to energy price cap from April due to high commodity prices and market failure, which has meant that in the next six weeks 30 energy suppliers will go out of business in the next six months.MSP Clare Haughey met with Scottish Gas to discuss help and support that can be offered to households.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
