Lanarkshire man scores with charity football match

A kind-hearted Lanarkshire man has organised an Old Firm charity match to raise money for a cause that supported his family through tragedy.Liam Scullion, from Cambuslang, organised the match in memory of his uncle, Eddie Buchan.All proceeds raised from the event will be given to FAMS – which supports families affected by suicide and murder.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

My family has really struggled. It’s been hard and my mum started going to FAMS meetings, which has helped her a lot.“FAMS have helped my family and I feel like it’s the right thing to try to raise money for them, so we can make sure there’s still enough funding to keep the meetings going.”The game kicks off at noon this Sunday, June 19, at Legends on Somervell Street, which has a pitch at the back.Tickets are available for £5 and can be bought on the day.
