Lanarkshire high school gives charities festive cash boost

A Lanarkshire secondary school raised nearly £1000 for a mental health charity and a local hospice through a number of events recently.

Staff and pupils at Duncanrig in East Kilbride were delighted to hand over cheques totalling an amazing £900 to Lanarkshire Association for Mental Health and the Kilbryde Hospice.

School captain Ross Cooper told Lanarkshire Live : "Money was raised throughout a special charity day and through a variety of means, from our innovative skills for work Barista Bar to a special fashion show event where staff entertained junior year group.
