A Lanarkshire family is set to embark on a charity walk around a Scottish Island in memory of their beloved mum who passed away from dementia.Donna Brady and her family from Cambuslang are taking part in Alzheimer Scotland’s Memory Walk this year, in memory of Elaine – beloved mum, much-missed gran and stalwart of the local community.They’ll be walking around Millport, one of Elaine’s favourite places over the weekend of September 15.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Donna says: “Mum was always the family matriarch; a fantastic role model to us and the most loving and proud gran you could ever meet.“She was full of fun and laughter, first up on the dance floor at a party and always looking for a karaoke and a chance to sing her favourite Patsy Cline song, ‘Crazy’.“She would have loved doing Scotland’s Memory Walk – she was that kind of person.
