A drugged-up Lanarkshire dad threatened police officers with a dumbbell when they responded to a call for help from his partner.

Stephen Lowell punched one officer and warned 'I'll rip you to pieces'. Lowell, 32, of The Murray Square, East Kilbride, was jailed for 15 months at Hamilton Sheriff Court last week.

I'll take each of you'."Lowell missed when he tried to punch the officer, but struck him with a second blow, causing bruising to his forehead.He continued to yell abuse and threats including 'I hope your children are all born with every disease and f****** die'.
