The Grammy-winning group, consisting of Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood, have used the name for 14 years but will now be known as Lady A to avoid causing offence to the black community.
Antebellum is typically associated with slavery during the period before the American Civil War in the south and prior to the abolition of the slave trade in the 1800s.
