Lad starts impromptu drum n bass set in Manchester city centre to get the party started

It's a rainy night in Manchester city centre - but that hasn't stopped some New Year's revellers making the most of the occasion.

As people begin to line St Peter's Square for the city's celebratory fireworks display, a group of lads have taken it upon themselves to entertain the masses with an impromptu drum n bass set.

Footage shows a DJ carting his speakers and equipment around in a trolley as he plays drum n bass for those waiting to enjoy.

The man behind the cart is Luke, 32. He told the Manchester Evening News he’s originally from Kent but stays in Manchester. He said he is a big music fan and usually plays at home.
