Labour MP axed as carer for speaking out about PPE shortages

Labour MP Nadia Whittome says she has been sacked from her role as a carer for the elderly after she spoke out about the lack of PPE.

The politician, who represents Nottingham East, had returned to her previous role as a social carer at the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

The 23-year-old had been working at Lark Hall retirement village for almost a month when was given the boot by Extra Care charitable Trust bosses on Tuesday due to her comments.
