The Labour Party have slammed George Galloway as 'only interested in stoking fear and division' after he cruised to victory in the Rochdale by-election.
A spokesperson for the party, who were forced to remove support from their candidate Azhar Ali following comments about Israel and Gaza, apologised to the people of Rochdale and said Mr Galloway 'only won because Labour did not stand'.
The Workers Party of Great Britain leader received just under 40% of the vote following a controversial and chaotic campaign.
