Kym Marsh has spoken about a possible return to Coronation Street, years after bowing out of playing Michelle Connor in Weatherfield.
The actress was a staple face on the Street from 2006 until 2019, when Kym revealed she'd decided to leave the ITV soap after 13 years.
Confirming her departure in a statement at the time, she said: "When I was lucky enough to be offered four episodes on Coronation Street I could never in my wildest dreams have thought I’d be here 13 years later. "It’s been an incredibly difficult decision but it feels like the right time for me to take a break from the show and explore some other roles.
But this isn’t the last you’ve heard of Michelle Connor, she’ll be back! I can’t wait to see what the writers have in store for the future." The years have since passed by with Michelle often missed in Weatherfield, especially through times of hardship for her son Ryan Connor and Carla Connor, who was her third cousin as well as former sister-in-law while Kym has ventured into presenting with BBC's Morning Live and took on numerous stage roles.
