Sportswear giant Puma are bidding to sign up Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland to a new £50m sponsorship deal - which could give Manchester City a boost in their efforts to sign him.
The German company, who are already the kit sponsors for City and Dortmund, are aiming to lure the Norwegian striker away from his current deal with Nike, the Daily Star reports.
They say that Puma will offer Haaland, 21, a whopping £50million over four years in an effort to lure him away deal two years early.
Such a deal might play into the hands of City, who may be able to leverage those close ties with Puma as part of any potential bid for the £150m-rated attacker.
