Kirkcudbright Country Fair to make long awaited return in July 2024

Kirkcudbright Country Fair will make its long awaited return later this month. The Sheep Show, Flyin’ Ryan Motorcycle Stunt Show and Ben Long Falconry Displays are among the top attractions set to welcome the crowds to The Carse at Tongland on July 20 and 21.

And organisers are hoping for better luck than last year, when high winds and extreme rain led to the event being cancelled.

Fair convener and Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities chairman, John Blaikie, said: “It was such a shame to have to cancel the event last year, so we’re thrilled to be back with a great line up of acts, many of which were booked in to join us last year.” The Sheep Show offers the chance to meet the sheep – each with a story to tell – and follow their woolly antics, as well as a shearing demonstration and a fun musical performance.

Flyin’ Ryan promises an adrenaline filled motorcycle stunt show, with Ben Long Falconry offering an entertaining and informative show for the whole family.
