King Charles 'snubbed' Princess Lilibet's christening after writing letters to Meghan Markle

King Charles declined an invitation to his granddaughter Princess Lilibet's christening despite being in touch with Meghan Markle according to claims made in an explosive new royal book.The two-year-old daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is the monarch's youngest grandchild and was christened earlier this year in California surrounded by her parents and older brother Prince Archie.Her godparents included film producer Tyler Perry but royals including Charles, Prince William and Kate Middleton were not present at the ceremony, the Mirror reports.Royal fans were left questioning if any of Harry and Meghan's royal relatives, whom they mostly share a frosty relationship with, were invited to the ceremony which treated guests to an afternoon of food and dancing.However, according to claims made by Omid Scobie in his bombshell biography Endgame which hit shelves today, the King was invited to celebrate Lilibet's big day but was unable to find space in his diary to attend.Despite being unable to see his granddaughter being christened, the book also says the Sussexes' keep the monarch "in the loop" about what Archie and Lilibet are up to and send him new photos of their children.

Mr Scobie alleges that contact between the Sussexes and the King is 'infrequent' but the monarch and Meghan did exchange letters in the spring of 2021 in the weeks after her bombshell chat with Oprah Winfrey.
