King Charles has had an extremely busy week as he began preparing for his Coronation days before the ceremony on Saturday, followed by a long weekend of celebrations.Despite his "exhaustion" from the hectic festivities, the 74-year-old sovereign has no plans to slow down anytime soon, the Mirror reports.
Only hours before he and Queen Camilla were crowned, His Majesty held a reception at Buckingham Palace for foreign dignitaries and royalty with his cousin, Frederik, Crown Prince of Denmark and his wife, Princess Mary at the event.
Elsewhere, the likes of King Abdullah and Queen Rania of Jordan attended as well as Prince Albert and Princess Charlene. Following the historic Coronation ceremony on May 6, the new monarchs hosted a large dinner party at Buckingham Palace before making their way to Windsor Castle on Sunday for the Coronation Concert.
Their Majesties will also be holding a garden party for the community at their official Scotland residence, the Palace of Holyrood.Sources have now claimed that the monarch has been "exhausted" by his persistent and demanding schedule.
