Despite the Royal Family being short-staffed, it seems there's no room for Prince Harry to return. King Charles, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment, has stepped back from public duties, as has the Princess of Wales, who is recovering from abdominal surgery performed last month.
Reports had suggested that Harry, who has a strained relationship with his father, might temporarily resume royal duties while the King is unwell.
However, insiders have refuted this, stating that Harry won't be allowed a role and that the King's health hasn't changed the agreement Harry made to relinquish official duties when he and his wife Meghan Markle stepped down as working royals in 2020.
The King has been a frequent target of Harry's criticism. In Harry and Meghan's six-part Netflix series, the Duke of Sussex accused his father of lying during a crucial meeting around the time he left the UK for the US.
