Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly feeling 'left out' of King Charles' plans for the future of the monarchy. The pair, who left royal duties four years ago to start a new life in Montecito, California, might be considering a return to the UK following the King's cancer diagnosis. The King's illness has reportedly prompted discussions about the future of the monarchy, including a scenario where Harry and Meghan could resume their official roles.
Royal expert Jennie Bond believes that Harry would be willing to "uproot his family" if needed. In an interview with Heat magazine, Jennie described the planning for Harry and Meghan's potential return as an "extreme precaution".
She added: "But, from the rumours that he was willing to step in on some kind of official basis while the King is in treatment, Harry probably would uproot his family and fill in for the short-term. "I don't think regency is something he'd welcome, but he'd be able to do things his way for once", reports the Mirror.
Jennie noted that any role Harry might take on would only be temporary, as Prince William's son George will be eligible to become King when he turns 18 in seven years.A source also told the publication that Harry and Meghan are finding it "hard" to hear King Charles is making concession plans without consulting them.
